The New Dead: Medea Material is a contemporary, multi-media, multi-disciplinary interpretation of the Medea myth from the text by Heiner Muller. Incorporating live, hybrid classical/industrial/electro music, pole dancing, rollerskating and film, this show feels like a rock concert with a broken heart and comes to La Boite after seasons at NIDA and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

• About Stella Electrika

  
  Stella Electrika is the production company of artistic director Kat Henry, that works across artforms producing theatre, music video, film projects and events. In 2009, in co-production with NIDA, Triple J and JTV, Stella Electrika produced Kat's debut music video for Sydney band Former Child Stars, which premiered on RAGE and is currently on rotation on American MTV. They have also produced the short film Eartha Kitt Goes to the Berlin, and along with The New Dead: Medea Material, have several new theatre works in development.
