Following a hugely successful pilot year in 2009, La Boite Ambassadors returns in 2010, and Artistic Director David Berthold is thrilled to announce an extension of the program to include 50 specially selected students from the Queensland University of Technology. This is a very special opportunity for theatre-passionate SBIT students to enter into a unique year-long relationship with one of Australia's leading theatre companies.
What are La Boite Ambassadors?
La Boite Ambassadors are students with a passionate interest in theatre who are invited to become an integral part of the La Boite Theatre Company team. As an Ambassador, you gain special insights into the workings of a professional theatre company and the creation of theatre. You also introduce the work of La Boite to your friends and families, and act as advisers to the company by providing feedback and new ideas.
*Please note: students from any faculty can apply, this program is not limited to drama students.
Each Ambassador receives:
• Free tickets to La Boite's 2010 mainstage productions - you can attend any performance (excluding opening night) for free as many times as you like!
• Free programs
• Opportunities to meet the actors and creative teams for Q&As after the shows. The first event for 2010 will be Stockholm on Wednesday 5 May 2010 at 6:30pm.
• Exclusive information about La Boite and other industry events
• Invitations to attend special workshops with professional theatre makers
• Discounted tickets ($15) to La Boite productions for family and friends for midweek shows (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
